Okay here’s my semiweekly roundup.
Thursday Must See TV
Not so must see except Good Morning Miami. First, there’s Bush’s dumb press conference. I’m not going to get into this particular rant though. Then repeats of Friends for the second week in a row. At least GMM was new and not a bad eppie either. More Penny and Jake angst. Also it’s nice to see Gavin all insecure and Frank so bold. Plus as usual, Suzanne Pleshette was darling and funny as Jake’s Aunt Claire. Tom Poston as the sexy old handyman has been a hoot too. I still miss the weather nun though.
Friday
Finally, a new John Doe. Unfortunately, it’s still on my tape so I haven’t watched it yet, you’ll get that soon.
Sunday
The Dead Zone. Yeah. I’ve been loving this new season. This was a fun episode. I love the graphic depiction of the idea of a man disappearing. Poor Johnny, so desperate for company that he eagerly awaits the delivery guy. He needs to spend more time with Bruce and Dana. Speaking of Dana, I thought her hair was looking good. I did find it hard to believe that neither Bruce nor Walt was easily convinced that Johnny had actually met Mr. Grissom. I meant these guys have experienced first hand what Johnny can do AND he had a recent checkup, pretty convincing to me. Also, considering Johnny’s notoriety and connections to the Faith Heritage Foundation I found it hard to believe that the government operatives thought they could easily make him disappear. But I don’t necessarily expect 100% reality from a science fiction show, which would just be silly. But I did like it, not as cool as last weeks “Cabin Pressure,” or as emotionally riveting as the mine episode, but a nice solid storyline with fun-which has been lacking in recent eps. Also, the fact that Johnny’s Jeep was missing one of its daylights was a nice touch.
Tonight
Due to crap television no new episodes of Third Watch or Crossing Jordan. But there appears to be an ep of Everybody Loves Raymond, which is a pleasant distraction sometimes.
