Lets’ see. Oh yeah, Angel. Angel rocked Wednesday
night! Seriously. Yeah little stiffness on the part
of David Boreanz and Charisma Carpenter but everyone
else was right on.
I felt bad for Wesley having to deal with chopping off
Lilah's head to prevent vampirism. He may not
have loved her but he might have been able to and
he’ll never know. Boy, the death of Lilah was a real
blow, ME is missing many ops to explore the banality
of evil there. Ah well, tragedy will make Wes all the
more intriguing.
Angelus was kind of boring and I know there’s been
some discussion of ME not wanting Angel to have to
deal with too much death upon his return but I think
there’s something bigger going on. Unless they just
want to keep Angel from brooding more than usual. But
Angelus simply better doing head games evil than
actually killing people (Jenny’s breathtakingly
brilliant and heartbreaking death ASIDE -the first
time that BTVS made me cry btw). I wonder if Angelus
is actually Angel. There are too many weird things
regarding the de-soulment and subsequent fake
re-soulment. And Lorne being fooled? I don’t see it.
I just don’t believe either Lorne or Wesley being in
cahoots with Cordevilia (who coined that? I love
it!). She’s evil all on her own. IS it Cordy? If
not, then how long? Has season 4 Cordy all been evil
or is it more recent? I’d say all season, thereby
removing culpability for the evil that was
Connor/Cordelia, but that actually seemed like
something Cordy would do out of misguided soft
heartedness. I meant ew but conceivable.
It was great seeing Gunn back to his old self-bad-ass
and funny to boot. He and Faith have good friendship
potential. Fred was blah but that’s okay, she’s been
pissing me off with her dithering about Wes and Gunn.
Connor was by turns annoying, pitiable and
refreshingly his age. Annoying with his blah blah
blah Let’s stake Angelus, etc. Pitiable in his being
taken for a ride by Cordevilia. An adorable in his
crushing on Faith.
And Faith? She kicks ass!
