Here’s some thought for the past week in television. Tuesday, Fraiser
was actually pretty damn funny. I was totally amused by Lilith
breaking down during her son’s Bar Mitzvah while reciting the Cat and
the Hat. And nothing could probably top Frasier reciting the blessing
in Klingon. Good show. Buffy was freakin’ hysterical. If you missed
it, I really recommend seeking it out in reruns. It was the funniest
episode I have seen in 2 seasons. Scenes to die for-the four-screen
effect with Willow, Buffy, Dawn, and Anya. Willow trying to turn her
new love into a woman. Buffy and Spike wrestling over the bazooka
(rocket launcher?). Spike and Xander stealing the football player’s
jacket. Over all too funny. Poor Dawn trying to off herself. Anyone
want to be a teenager again? Hell no! I hate grand gestures, unless
of course it’s Spike getting his soul then Yay! I was pleased that
Buffy got him the hell out of the basement. And good for Xander
showing some character development by letting Spike stay with him
despite his Spike issues (Spike gets all the women Xander wants-well
Anya and Buffy mainly). Perhaps there’s hope for everyone after all.
However after such a great ep, I am dreading tomorrows ‘cuz I’m sure
it’ll be totally depressing.
Thursday seemed to be pretty week overall. Friends had some moments
but I really don’t like Freddy Prinze Jr. or Mr. Sara Michelle Gellar,
as he is known in certain circles. Will and Grace was somewhat blah as
well. The best of the sitcoms was as usual Scrubs, but it seemed to be
a little more of a downer than usual. So, I’m waiting for this week’s
eps.
Friday missed Firefly and John Doe.
Sunday Angel was for the most part funny but with a completely
depressing ending. Is this the downer season? Were we in love? Yes
we were. Bummer.
