Thought on this weeks Buffy. Oh God. With Never Leave Me the payoff finally came. Oh, I’ve been waiting for Buffy to make that speech to Spike for over a year now. Goddamn right, he’s fucking changed and it’s about time you noticed, bitch. I honestly thought it would never happen. I did not trust Mutant Enemy or Joss Whedon and I was wrong. Wow. I had so many moments, how can I even start?
I miss Jonathon!!!!
But wasn’t poor evil Andrew all cute trying to be a bad ass by dressing like Spike? Poor piggy barely escaped with his life.
Buffy! Yay Buffy! Smart, efficient, practical, and understanding all in one episode! I love this Buffy!
Xander. Not too Xanderish. Are he and Anya picking back up?
Anya. Poor Anya. Rightfully miffed that when Spike starts killing people he isn’t stabbed in the chest like she was. Although I still believe her descent into evil was voluntary and that kind of makes a difference. (Even though I think Buffy should have tried options other than killing her first in Selfless) But wasn’t she a hoot when she was being bad cop? And watching Xander get smacked! Woo hoo. Too eps in a row! That boy deserves some smackin’. He may be better now but he got some payback comin’.
Dawn blah.
Willow was funny when she offered to kill Anya for Spike and scared poor evil Andrew but that was about it. I want Darth Willow!
Principal hottie! Nooooooooooooooooooooooo. He can’t be evil. It’s not fair.
And Giles, I want Giles, where is Giles?
And die watchers die! How cool to blow them up. I like it when ancient supernatural evil uses mundane means such as explosives to achieve their goals. Very progressive of them.
And Spike. Poor poor Spike. Wants to die. Then gets “the speech” of forgiveness and acknowledgement and a reason to live (so to speak). Then freaking gets sacrificed!!!! For some kind of evil mf vampire!!!!!!! The first one? Oh it’s too much! I won’t be able to wait until January! How can they do this to me. It’s just plain wrong!
Boy what a fantastic episode. The best in a season of great ones. Beneath You, Selfless, now Never Leave Me.
