Last nights Buffy was a gem. Andrew was doing his own version of cinema verite. In his orientation confusion, he mistook Wood and Spike’s animosity for UST. Forget that I want no more Wuffiness! Wood and Buffy do not belong together even if he is the son of a slayer. But seriously a man that would even think of staking someone in the back who was fighting WITH him has some growing up to do. I hope he is exposed. And surely
he must realize that if The First WANTED him to know about Spike and his mother then it he's only playing into it's hands by trying to kill Spike. For God's sake, he's supposed to be a grownup. Ah at least Andrew did some growing up. I love watching Buffy alone that way I can get all sniffley like I did tonight. I miss Jonathan. I was
okay with the Xander and Anya even if I was hoping for Giles to hook up with her. Xander’s going to have his heart broken in the end I think. The end is coming and I don’t know if I can bear it. What will I obsess over? No other show moves me so much.
John Doe
Actually there was no John Doe but my friend loaned me
his copy of last week’s episode so it was like a new
episode. I’m not sure what Fox’s problem is. It’s
that the perfect way to kill any following for a new
show is to not show it on a regular basis and that
seems to be what they are doing with John Doe.
Putting on Nutty Professor II instead. Did anyone
even watch that movie? Ever? Anyway, it was a
heartbreaking episode. John Doe has four friends, two
cops, the bartender, and Karen Kowalski. A couple of
weeks ago the lady cop was kidnapped so I guess it was
Karen’s turn. And since she is the most likable
character on the show, it was apparently her turn to
die. Horrible horrible horrible. Luckily, I watched
it alone so I could sniffle in peace. It’s a good
show, but a poor plot device to kill someone off so
soon after a show starts, especially once you’ve made
him or her likable. Usually only Buffy and Angel do
that on a regular basis and least those shows creators
admit that no one ever gets to be happy on their show.
There's a new category for the Emmy's especially for reality shows. Man the world is really coming to an end. I hate reality tv shows because they
mostly suck but I'm in the minority apparently. Who the hell are all the
people watching these shows? Next thing you know there will be an Oscar
category for best sucky teen movie.
Friends:
As interesting as I find the Mike/Phoebe storyline
Friends continually goes downhill this season. As Jim
said it's like watching a wreck, you just can't turn
away. I hope they improve the quality of writing and
do something about Joey and Rachael if I have to
endure another season before its over. I know Joey
and rachael get married again and move to LA leaving
it just Monica Chandler and Joey. I like that idea.
I know I can just stop watching but I can't. And
what's with the constant repeats? I can't wait for
next week, finally a new ep of Good Morning Miami.

Will and Grace
A great episode. One of the best all season so far.
Poor Will. I was almost happy for him. But if
they've waited this long to get him a real boyfriend,
then I was fool for hoping it would happen. A
Will/Jack showdown could be fun though. And angst
ridden. And God, let's get Grace divorced soon. What
the hell where they thinking?

Scrubs
Sniff, as usual funny, and angsty all in one. Poor
JD. Having to watch Elliot with Rick Schroeder and
knowing deep dark secrets, will he be able to bear it?

Old FX Buffy
Two of my favorite eps tonight, This Years Girl and
Who Are You? I love Faith. Willow and Tara doing
sexy "spells." And the sheer sexiness of season 4
Spike. Sigh

I'm feeling bitchy. No Angel, no 70's show, no George Lopez and since the WHCP transmitter is down I can't even watch Enterprise OR Twilight Zone. Harumph!
So, they are currently showing season 4 of Buffy on FX as you know and it has set off some cogitation. Everyone seems to hate season 4 and I really like it a lot. Its no Season 3 or 6 but it’s still has a lot going for it. Think:
1. The return of Spike
2. The return of Faith
3. No Angel
4. “Superstar” (sob! I miss Jonathan)
5. Xander was still looking good
6. “Doing spells”
7. Funny Spike
8. “The Yoko Factor”
9. “Something Blue”
10. “The Harsh Light of Day”
11. “Warm champagne”
12. Drunken sexy folk singing Giles
13. The first little hints of Spuffyness
14. Did I mention the return of Spike?

Well Tuesday’s TV for me consisted of a mere two shows. Frasier and Less Than Perfect. Luckily, for me, both were pretty hilarious tonight. Frasier started dating a gym teacher and all was well until she started screaming at a hapless fat girl who couldn’t climb the rope. The ep did a great job of humorously signifying the angst of the unathletic child and the ununderstanding physically elite.
Less Than Perfect was about breaking up. Claude broke up with Charlie because he wasn’t her soul mate but had a meltdown in the bridal shop dressing room while taking Wills fiancée (brilliantly bitchily and air headedly played by Jenny McCarthy) shopping. Unfortunately, Claude’s recovery precipitates a crisis for Will’s fiancée and leads to her breaking up with Will. Best line-after Owen tells Claude’s neighbor that as the son of two lesbians-that there’s nothing hot about lesbian loving-the guy replies, "that’s like never having a Santa Clause.”
And I hate bad weather. The WHCP transmitter was off the air so no Buffy. And it was a new ep! Spoilers indicate betrayal and angst! I can’t take it! I have angst! I mean there’s no Angel for three weeks, I at least need some Buffy! Especially since I missed John Doe AND Dead Zone. Although DZ repeats and I may have a line on a JD tape.

I just went to go see Bowling for Columbine. Wowza. The movie was unfucking believable. I think Michael Moore is a freaking genius. I starting crying about 1/2 an hour into the movie and never really stopped. I'm getting kind of choked up right now to tell you the truth. Filled with things that make you want to look away from the screen like actual security camera footage of Columbine and 911 calls, it’s horrifying. There were things that he talked to people about that I didn't know what to make of. The kid who talks about building bombs for example. Well I know for a fact that my boyfriend, his brothers, and their dad used to build bombs and set them off in the woods. What does that mean? I used own a copy of the Anarchist Cookbook and have vaguely considered blowing some people away when I was in high school (especially football players and cheerleaders)-I don’t think I was ready to do a school rampage. When a home security expert said the word Columbine and his face just crumpled, the movie stopped being funny.
Some moments were neat like when they showed footage of Katie Sierra there was spontaneous applause in the audience. There was a cool interview with Marilyn Manson. Moore was wrong about killer bees though; they have reached Texas and are very dangerous. As I said, it was a hard movie to watch, too many images of death and adults crying (which always kills me). The stuff with the boys from Columbine and Kmart was great; it was cool to see change actually happening in front in your face. And it was interesting to find out that Matt Stone went to Columbine. The last bit and interview with Charleston Heston was interesting but too melodramatic and expected. What I liked most about this movie is that Michael Moore does not blame guns or lack of gun control for our culture of gun violence. He doesn’t really have an answer. Watch it. I plan to see it repeatedly.
